The Sport of Kings

Time to talk about my other sports passion, College Football.

It's one of 'those' seasons. You know, the ones where the sports writers love the Big 12 for no apparent reason.

The 12 has six ranked teams, including the number one Oklahoma. Now lets do a little research, how many ranked teams have those six played? A whopping three teams, Illinois at the beginning of the season when they were ranked, TCU also not ranked anymore and South Florida which Kansas lost to. And now these teams are going into conference play where they just pat each other on the back.

If I was Alabama I'd be pretty darn pissed. They're from the most respected conference in the country, they've beaten two teams ranked in the top ten yet they can't get a number one ranking?

I mean Northwestern is 5-0 too and they just popped into the top 25 this week. When ever a Big 12 team rolls over a bunch of crap teams in the begining of the season the sports writers love them.

The only team I really like is Missouri, just because they are still sort of an underdog, and everyone likes an underdog. But the rest of those teams can just die for all I care.

Northwestern with there schedule might go into November undefeated. Amazing. The Illinois-Northwestern game this year might be a real good one.

Oh, and the Griz are still undefeated, but not really a surprise. They really should go to the big division.
